Darker than black: H. Moser & Cie. combines its ingenious double hairspring flying tourbillon with the blackest material known to man: Vantablack®. The Endeavour Tourbillon in steel and Vantablack® dial is the epitome of “less is more”, where the strikingly black dial void of a logo, markers or any embellishment gives way to the hypnotic tourbillon.

Movement

The HMC 805 automatic calibre with a double hairspring replaces its predecessor, the HMC 804. Partially skeletonised bridges and a sleek anthracite grey finish reveal the gear train and bi-directional winding system, while a beveled rotor ensures an unobstructed view.

Functions

Conceived to counteract the effects of gravity on the watch’s timekeeping precision, the tourbillon is a device in which the regulating organ and escapement are placed, which constantly rotates around a central axis to eliminate any positional errors.

Highlight

Incorporating the darkest man-made material ever made, the Vantablack® dial is made up of millions of carbon nanotubes which capture 99.965% of light photons. By limiting the light reflections, the dial gives off the impression of a black hole.
